Black Spot and Lichen Removal
Lichen which can be black or greyish in colour appears on surfaces often seen as black spots of crusted growths on brickwork and paving. Yet again the damp British weather allows these stubborn organisms to flourish and once they are established they are very difficult to fully remove. Even commercial powerful pressure washers like ours are uinable to remove these fully. These Lichen affect almost all surfaces although natural stone seems to be more affected than others.
Well once we have cleaned the Patio or Driveway to get it as clean as possible using a pressure washer we then need to use a different approach.
There are a number of proprietary products but we find using Sodium Hypochlorite (swimming pool bleach} offers the best results at the best value. Cleaning using this method might need to be done over several days to get the best results.
